My game is changed.

I love it.

I Love Red 18

on Saturday, October 20

As a child, I always thought that everyone would pick red as their favorite color.

I know it was wrong.

One of my kindergarten mate loved “blacks”. Other said “silver”. But heck, I still pick red card as my seat badge.

In fact, I started to color my sky in every “standard kindergarten painting” using red, made them golden dawn or beautiful sunset, whilst everyone picked blue crayon and drawing plain “standard” sunny day.

Red Pulsar

You can pick blue, black, or silver. But I love red. I always do.

ps. Ayo Mi, balapan tah? :))

Membaca "Imel" 19

on Sunday, September 23

Menjelang berbuka semalam, ibu saya di Jember berkirim SMS:

Ass. sdh buko ya jgn lupa berdoa kl makan. Mama td lht imelmu

Imel?

Ibu saya bukan pengguna internet. Ada sih akun YM, tapi itu juga dibikinin adik bungsu saya.

Sejauh saya ingat, saya belum pernah kirim imel ke Jember. Paling banter cuma surat biasa. Kadang telegram yang kira-kira berbunyi “putro waras artho telas ttk hbs”.
Itu juga dulu. Disebuah jaman dimana THR tidak habis untuk upgrade HP, dimasa saya masih semester awal tertindas kecanduan kuliah. Saat internet masih seperti sedia kala™.

Surat atau telegram. Itu saja.
Tapi berkirim imel? Wah, belum pernah deh.

Dengan sedikit penasaran saya berbalas SMS:

Lihat imel dimana ma?

Yang dijawab:

Di warnet tempat Irma. Dimuka gambar komputer ada 2 bungkusan & tulisane hebat bhs Madura-an,

Disini saya mulai ngeh.

Nggak semua ibu pernah membaca “imel” putranya lho :)

Selamat Bersantap Sahur 11

sahur

Saya sendiri bukan tipikal breakfast-guy. Jarang/males sarapan.
Dan juga tipikal night-owl. Susah tidur sebelum jam 3 pagi.

Seperti jadi pipa PVC. Dilihat jelas mengkilat; dipegang terasa kokoh.

ps. Tapi SMS massal yang memakai pola seperti “Ramadhan telah tiba bla bla bla…” dst bukan kategori simbol pengingat. Simbol annoying tuh.

How Geek Are You 9

91% Geek

I never consider myself as a geek.

I mean I hate wedding party because wearing a jeans on that particular occasion would placed me in very awkward situation. The so-called collective manner and my practical reasoning work in mutual-exclusive way.

Or probably this would be perfect time to pay more attention to Geek Etiquette.

Well, maybe.

Breaking Creativity Block

Posted by andry
on Thursday, August 09

Well, let’s cut to the chase. I’m now having creativity blocks. Pretty much the same with writer’s block. If you do happen got Darth Vader action figure and Camel and GoF on your desk, geek block may be a correct phrase symbol to you (ps. I wear jeans too). Your mileage may vary, but I assume you get my point.

In normal situation (okay ‘normal’ is subjective) I have these hand picked, time-tested, quality-assurance selected methods to break the blocks. Funny, they don’t work anymore for me.

1. Writing copy of codes, old ones or new ones. Copying code, I mean actually typing it not just humble CTRL-C CTRL-V, is kinda like dragging’ our ‘creative brain’ inertia with ‘mechanic brain’. Typing without thinking, eventually, will start ‘creative brain’ to run.

2. Learning other subjects that is completely different with our task at hand. Useful when we got bored with current project(s).

3. Blogging. Reading as you are now.

4. Music. As FL Studio and guitar.

5. Vacation. I did. Surf’s Up was cool. Mr. Brooks was chilling. The Messenger was shocking. Alone was frightening. Can’t wait for Bourne Ultimatum.

Beside these fives, any more ideas how to break your creativity blocks? I’m listening.
